Anatomy of Type
This week we learned about the anatomy of type. I learned about all the different words used to describe parts of letters, like the inside of the letter O is called the counter.
I also learned that the fonts have their own personalities. For example Comic Sans is kind of silly and wouldn't be used for a very serious message. I thought it was cool how using a different font could give something a different meaning. I think it is interesting that the number of fonts change all the time, there are already so many to use, but at least you have a lot of options. The last think I find interesting is that all letters have specific names, before that I thought letters were just letters. But now I know that it goes much deeper than that.
