This week we learned about color psychology. Color theory is what colors are associated with. For example green can be used to remind people of nature and also to make people think of something that is green as fresh.

Color Psychology in branding

Every company uses color psychology to get people to buy their products. They use it because certain colors make people associate the company with something positive. In class we compared two deodorant brands. One of the brands had a green lid and a white bottle, the green on the the lid is used to show how it is fresh and the white represents purity. The other brand had a red bottle to show how if you wear it people will desire you. It also used blue on the bottle to show how the brand is honest and wouldn't lie to you.
